Mental Health Support 

If you are struggling to cope, feeling overwhelmed or concerned about someone else, reaching out to others can be very beneficial. Many students experience these feelings – it's quite common, and staff are well-equipped to assist those who find their emotions challenging to manage. 

Initially, you can talk to your Pupil Support Leader, Pupil Support Assistant, or our Safeguarding Officer (Mrs Allen). They are trained to provide support and can also connect you with professionals for further assistance. These experts are dedicated to helping individuals like you and are ready to listen. Remember, you are not alone. 

Additionally, there are numerous organisations that offer information and support for those dealing with mental health issues. Links to these resources are provided below:

24-hour Helpline: 0800 1111. Information, advice and emotional support for young people. 

 

Cruse: www.cruse.org.uk. Bereavement care. They have a specific website for young people; www.rd4u.org.uk

 

Papyrus: www.papyrus-uk.org. Organisation looking at the prevention of young suicides. 

 

Young Minds  http://www.youngminds.org.uk/ The UK’s leading charity fighting for a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health.

Carmarthenshire Counselling - Area 43

 

Area 43 provides an Independent School and Community Based Counselling Service in Carmarthenshire.  

Our counselling service is available to all children and young people ages 3-19 in Carmarthenshire, whether they are in school or electively home-educated, community settings and online sessions may be offered as an alternative to school settings as appropriate.  

Whether you’re feeling anxious, having issues at home, or just need someone to talk to, we’re here, and ready to listen.
