The additional learning provision (APL) is our own school’s dedicated provision (Student Enrichment Centre) designed to support students who require extra help with social communication, emotional regulation, and learning. Within the Centre, students have access to a well-rounded and inclusive curriculum that offers opportunities for a blended learning experience.

•  At Key stage 3

 - Literacy and numeracy to include the Freshstart programmes, Accelerated reader and Number workout.

 - Emotional support – Talkabout, Art Therapy, Lego Therapy, Physical Literacy, cooking and lifeskills

•  At Key stage four

 - Literacy and numeracy intervention programmes

 - Financial Literacy, Personal Growth and Wellbeing, Equality and Diversity, catch-up programmes

 - Emotional support – Talkabout, Art therapy, Lego Therapy,  Physical Literacy, cooking, lifeskills

Pupils access the centre and mainstream according to need

 As pupils prepare for transition, the ALNCo and Assistant ALNCo work closely with the primary schools and families to identify pupils who would benefit from having additional support within the Student Enrichment Centre when transitioning to Coedcae school.
