Vision, Ethos & Values
Our Core Purpose
To inspire confident learners to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Our Vision
Our more detailed vision statement can be summarised as our commitment to being a happy, inclusive school, in which staff are well-supported so that they may, in collaboration with others, deliver the best possible educational experiences and outcomes for all our pupils, without exception.
Our Values
"Respect, honesty, kindness & inclusion."
Great schools never stand still
We believe that great schools never stand still and strive always to excel in every area of their performance, for the benefit of all our young people and other stakeholders.
In our relentless pursuit of excellence for all, we believe that everyone in our community must be involved in our strategic planning. Following robust and honest self-evaluation of where we believe we are at this point as we emerge from the turbulence of the pandemic, we have identified and agreed together the following key priorities:
- Clarity of purpose
- Curriculum development
- High-quality teaching and learning
- High standards of pupil engagement
- Reducing the impact of deprivation on educational outcomes
- Ongoing evaluation that leads to improvement
- Leadership at all levels
These priorities will direct our short and medium-term planning and will underpin our three-year school improvement plan (SIP) through to 2025. This will ensure we are an inclusive and high-performing school of choice for our local community. This will also lead to the best possible educational experiences and outcomes for our pupils; they deserve nothing less than our best.
Effective leadership and implementation of each of the above priorities equally will allow Coedcae to become an excellent school with successful learners who enjoy their educational journey.
