Coedcae School ALN overview

At Coedcae School, we are committed to providing a high-quality education that is both appropriate and inclusive for all pupils. We believe that every pupil should have access to a broad and balanced curriculum that is not only accessible but also provides inclusive opportunities in all areas of school life. Our goal is to nurture healthy, confident, creative, and ambitious learners who are prepared to thrive.

Our dedicated staff regularly engage in training related to Additional Learning Needs (ALN), ensuring that best practices are incorporated into their curriculum planning. By using a blend of adaptive teaching methods, they ensure that each pupil receives the support they need to succeed. We continuously strive to help pupils overcome barriers to achievement through collaborative and inclusive approaches.

The ALN and Inclusion Team at Coedcae School works closely with a range of outside agencies and professionals to ensure a holistic support system for both pupils and their families. These partnerships include Educational Psychologists, the Behaviour Support Team, Teachers for Sensory Impairments, Child and Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Speech and Language Therapists, Careers Wales, CYCA, and Threshold. Through these connections, we aim to offer comprehensive support tailored to each pupil's needs.
