Seren yr Wythnos/Achiever of the Week
Seren, Year 9
A massive well done to Seren. Last Saturday, Seren cut 18 inches off her hair for the Little Princess Trust. This trust is a charity that provides human hair wigs for children who have lost their hair through medical conditions. Seren was inspired to cut 18 inches off her own hair from her own experience of alopecia, and after she read a story of a 5-year-old girl who struggled to find a suitable wig whilst she was unwell. The Princess Trust makes bespoke wigs to ensure that children who have lost their hair are able to wear a wig that is comfortable and realistic. Each wig costs £550, and the trust donates the wigs to those most in need. So far, Seren has raised over £700 with donations still rolling in! Seren’s selfless act of kindness and thoughtfulness is truly overwhelming. Well done, Seren, we couldn’t be prouder of you.
